1. The service
You & Me Counselling provides a platform where people can find licensed counsellors and psychologists, book sessions in person or online, buy prepaid session plans, and receive invoices. Counselling and clinical care are delivered by the counsellors themselves; the platform handles scheduling, payment and records. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.
2. Not an emergency service
The platform is not for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 112, or contact iCall on 9152987821 or Vandrevala Foundation on 1860 2662 345, or go to the nearest hospital.
Booked sessions are scheduled in advance and a counsellor may not be able to respond between sessions.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 18 or older to hold an account. A parent or legal guardian must arrange and consent to sessions for a child or teenager.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password confidential and tell us at once if you suspect misuse.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Booking sessions
- Sessions are offered in time slots shown on the counsellor's page. A session is one hour (two consecutive 30-minute slots).
- You can choose in person or online where the counsellor offers both.
- A booking is requested when you complete payment (or confirm using your plan hours) and is confirmed only after the practice approves it. We will email you once it is approved. If a booking cannot be accommodated, we will tell you and arrange a new time or a refund.
- Arrive or join on time. A session that starts late may still end at the scheduled time.
5. Session plans and packages
| Plan | Hours | Price (INR) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Hour Session | 1 | 1,500 |
| 3 Hours Session | 3 | 4,000 |
| 5 Hours Session | 5 | 6,000 |
- Plans are paid for in advance and can be used in person or online.
- For the 3-hour and 5-hour plans, each booked session uses one hour from your balance. Unused balance carries forward to your next session until the package is completed.
- When a package is used up, you can top up by buying another plan.
- If an approved session is cancelled and the cancellation is accepted, the hour is returned to your balance.
- You can always pay for a single session separately instead of using plan hours.
- Plan hours are personal to your account and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, except where a refund is due under section 7.
6. Payment and taxes
- Prices are in Indian rupees. Where GST applies it is shown at checkout and on your invoice.
- Payment is taken in advance through Razorpay. We do not store your card or banking credentials.
- Coupon codes are single-use, may be limited to a counsellor or an expiry date, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- If a payment is debited but the booking or plan does not appear, contact us with the payment reference and we will correct it or refund you.
7. Cancellation and refunds
- To cancel a booked session, submit a cancellation request from your dashboard as early as you can.
- Cancellation requests are reviewed by the counsellor. When a request is approved, the counsellor decides whether a refund applies and how much, as a fixed amount or a percentage of the amount paid.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Razorpay. Banks and payment providers usually take several working days to show them.
- A session missed without cancelling, or cancelled too late for the slot to be reused, may be non-refundable.
- If we or the counsellor cancel a session, we will offer you a new time or refund what you paid for that session.
8. Your responsibilities
- Use the platform lawfully and respectfully towards counsellors and staff.
- Do not share your account, impersonate anyone, or try to access other people's data.
- Do not record sessions, or share session content with others, without the counsellor's written permission.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the platform.
- Give your counsellor honest information about your health and circumstances so they can help you safely.
9. Confidentiality
What you discuss with your counsellor is kept confidential and stored securely as described in the Privacy Policy. Confidentiality has limits set by law and professional ethics: a counsellor may need to share information where there is a serious risk of harm to you or others, where abuse of a child or vulnerable person is suspected, or where a court or authority lawfully requires it.
10. Counsellors
Counsellors on the platform are independent professionals who set the nature of their practice and are responsible for their own clinical judgement and professional conduct. Counsellors who connect Google Calendar do so under the permissions described in the Privacy Policy, and must keep patient information confidential and use the platform only for their practice.
11. Content and intellectual property
The platform, its design, logos and content belong to You & Me Counselling or its licensors. You may use them only to access the service. You keep ownership of the information you provide, and you give us the right to use it only to run the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers and liability
- Counselling is not a guarantee of any outcome, and sessions are not a substitute for emergency or hospital care.
- We work to keep the platform available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, and it may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the platform is limited to the amount you paid us for the session or plan the claim relates to.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or any right you have under consumer protection law.
13. Suspension and ending your account
You may stop using the platform and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, puts others at risk, or is used for fraud.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any right you have to approach a consumer forum where you live. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service or the law changes. The date above shows the current version. If you keep using the platform after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms; for material changes we will tell you by email or a notice on the site.
